Eye Candy #177 - "Timecop" (The Damme #4)

Timecop: Easily my favorite Jean-Claude Van Damme movie (everybody's allowed to like 1 title of his). Based on the Dark Horse comic by Mark Verheiden, it's the story of police from the future responsible for policing the timeline and those that exploit time travel for their own gains (like going back in time to steal money, rig elections, etc.). Van Damme is Max Walker, a Time Enforcement Agent, responsible for going back in time to stop a corrupt politician (Ron Silver). He learns that the death of his wife (Mia Sara) ten years ago may also have been retaliation for something Max did in the future as a Timecop, and he's got to sort it all out. The immortal Bruce McGill is in support as Walker's boss, Commander Matuzak (or as Van Damme, MAH-too-ZAHK). Director Peter Hyams is usually hit (Outland, Narrow Margin) or miss (The Musketeer, End of Days) and here he's hit. Woodchuck sez, "Me likey".
