Eye Candy #98 - "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: Easily the smartest script of 2005, with dialogue that is entertaining, witty, and perfectly in tune with the tone of the film. Written and directed by screenwriter Shane Black, who gave us "Lethal Weapon", "The Last Boy Scout", and oddly enough "Monster Squad", "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is a very entertaining comedy-thriller about a common hoodlum who finds himself in way over his head, due mostly to dumb luck, both his and other people's, with murder, betrayal, and mistaken identity set against the backdrop of Hollywood and the Biz. The casting on this film is superb, from big parts to little parts - Downey has seldom been better, Kilmer has his best role in YEARS as Gay Perry, the uh, gay detective (though I really liked him in "Spartan"), and Michelle Monaghan...is now the love of my life. Everyone I've recommended watch this movie hasn't been disappointed. You won't be either. Woodchuck sez, "Me likey."
